Thought for Food Market:

Situated in Suzhou, a UNESCO world heritage site west of Shanghai, the Thought for Food Market is a sprawling 2,300 sqm gastronomic adventure that was created as a destination for food lovers. Our team was tasked with developing the property’s main food hall’s F+B concept and corresponding foodservice design in collaboration with renowned designers TsAO & McKOWN, Neri+Hu and Gensler.

With the capacity to accommodate over 230 patrons, the Thought for Food Market offers an experiential dining space featuring diverse food and drink stations, including raw, braise, grill and smoked, steam, the oven, sauté and stir fry, the bakery, and a beverage bar. Guests can explore the farm-to-table market to buy wholesome ingredients and imported goods, all while enjoying mindful eating and flavourful dishes.

SANGHA Retreat by OCTAVE Institute
Also located within the property is the SANGHA Retreat is a 46-acre lakeside haven for health and wellness. The retreat’s food and beverage concepts and foodservice design have been meticulously developed to align with the retreat’s mission of transformative, holistic well-being. Blending Western science with traditional Chinese philosophy, SANGHA Retreat offers a comprehensive medical assessment, customized programs of nutritionally balanced meals, healing treatments, exercise, and activities. The culinary offerings are an integral part of the guests’ journey towards nature, healing, and harmony.
